Northgrip began with a simple idea. We wanted to make a golf glove whose excellent feel would last as long as possible.
We have worked with leather for four generations. It teaches you to recognise good leather at first touch.
In the minds of our two founders, both keen golfers, an idea began to take shape: could decades of experience with leather give something new to the golf glove?
We began searching for a material that was soft, durable and, above all, one that would shape itself to the hand. One that stays out of the way of the game and asks nothing extra of the mind.
The answer was close to home. Reindeer leather is a by-product of reindeer husbandry, a material we have worked with for years. Its thin structure makes it feel soft yet secure, and it withstands hard wear remarkably well.
When we began testing reindeer leather in a golf glove, we found it did exactly what we were looking for: it moulds to the hand, keeps its shape, and transmits feel straight to the club. You'll find more on its technical qualities on the Material page.

Because it is a genuine natural material, every Northgrip glove is unique. Small marks or other natural traces may appear in the leather. These are not flaws — they speak to the material's origin in Finland and Sweden, and to the reindeer's life in the demanding conditions of the north.
Northgrip was not born to chase trends. It was born from a wish to make a golf glove in which the material is left to do what it does best — offer a natural feel, a sure grip and a pleasingly long working life.
