Reindeer leather is a by-product. Its volume doesn't flex with demand, and every hide is different. That's why large manufacturers use cabretta: it's available in consistent quality without limit.
For us the scarcity is the starting point. We make smaller batches and select the hides by hand.
What tanning it ourselves means
Because we tan the leather ourselves, we can tune thickness and surface feel specifically for a golf glove. It's slower than buying finished leather, but the result is a glove built for one purpose rather than many.
